Wow, I've missed blogging. I must be pretty full of myself to miss my own thoughts typed out, but I do! So much has happened in a short period of time that I'm sort of overwhelmed with what to say. I'm tempted to just say something blank and simple like, "life's been good, not much happenening lately". Only because I feel I can only go all or none...either you get every detail or nothing at all. Compromise just seems like cheating here.
However, seeing as how no one probably has time or concern for my teeny-tiny details, I'll compromise and just compromise......Life HAS been really good lately. God is stretching me in ways far outside of my comfort zone. He's pursuing my heart, and He just won't be ignored. He is calling me to love Him and worship Him the way He designed me specifically to do so, but I've always held back. In doing so, however, He is requiring some serious junk to be dug back up, faced, grieved, and brought to Him to be turned over for good. He's fighting for me. I love the way He fights for me...
We had ladies retreat last weekend and it was so good...here's the nutshell of that...
- hearty laughing
- tons of praying
- lots of crying
- crazy dancing
- early running
- deep thinking
- dreamy sleeping
- awesome learning
I have always dreaded retreats for many of these reasons, but God is changing me, so I loved this one! It was crazy and fun and worshipful. I'm so loved by these ladies, and that feels good. I've never been part of a church family like this one. It's just so restful and loving. Worship was awesome Sunday morning, because we were all so refreshed and alive...like when we were kids and we would come back from youth camp. Remember that feeling?? You just never wanted it to go away. I love it.
Today started out not so fun...I kept the nursery at church this morning, and then locked my keys in my car...didn't get home until 3pm waiting on AAA to come. No complaining from me, though, since Pastor Bart called them and they opened it for no charge on his account. Yay!
Well, it's time to switch gears to get ready for trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving, both which we will try and accomplish tonight. I've got a few small details to se to in order to transform my children properly into a Power Ranger, a Goblin, and a Harley Dude. What a mix...
Anyway, have a happy Halloween everyone, (or Happy Reformation Day if you prefer that title). Eat lots of candy, avoid all tricks and enjoy lots of treats!!
Peace...

oh how i miss womens retreats. i haven't been on one in a long time and you and crystal and heather are all going. maybe i'll start my own...but it probably wouldn't be the same. i think once a year all of us from SEBC who blog on here should get together at a central site for a weekend..like mississippi or something. wouldn't that be great? anyone interested? laughing, sharing, praying, jogging (yep i'm up to 4 min running now, abbey), etc. who's with me?
