"So I dream myself awake...."

After waking up at 5am and running 4miles on a freezing cold rainy day, I so wish I could crawl back into bed and continue my lovely dream about Taylor Hicks....Uhhh Hmmm...What? No I didn't. I didn't say I had a lovely dream about Taylor Hicks. OK I did, but I did say "lovely", lest you get carried away with your thoughts! Anyway, usually at this hour my house is close to chaos already. The remnants of a rushed breakfast are spread out all over my kitchen, Anderson's off to school, and the younger two are busy, excitedly pulling out every toy that they haven't seen since they went to sleep the night before. There's usually running, squeeling, cartoons playing, and the phone ringing off the hook already.

Today, however, things are drastically different. It is so quiet around here that my typing on the keyboard seems loud. Matt took Elliot and Wilson to the Amsouth playcare for the day. They love going and getting to ride in daddy's truck with him, so I feel no guilt whatsoever.

I have lots of cleaning to do (which I can get done in about two hours with no "helpers" around!). So, seeing as how I can, and no one (outside of blog world) will know, I'm about to pull down the shades, turn off the phone, pull back my covers and go back to sleep on this super cold rainy day!!! Yay! Yippee! Happy tears of joy are streaming down my selfish, thankful, sleepy face. Who knows? Maybe Taylor will come back to sing me a lullaby...
