Sorry about that. But you should have heard it...gross!
Has it been awhile since I last posted? I fell asleep about a month ago and just woke up. It was a lovely nap, I must say.
Lately when I've been awake, I'm mostly coughing and hacking due to walking pneumonia, or fighting off a headache and nausea from "a bug" I can't seem to shake. So, needless to say, I had really rather be asleep. Let me give a quick shout-out of thanks to the makers of Tylenol PM...my trusty sleeping companion these days. No thanks, however, to my other sleeping companion, my lovely husband, who ever so generously shared all these illnesses with me in the first place. He's so kind. I think he should at very least bring me flowers to make up for that garbage!
In other Gore related news, spring break came and went in a flash, and gave me a scare for summer ahead. I need to get on the ball organizing some fun activities for the boys, just to avoid the ten thousand bored and whiny moments that too much free time brings into our lives. Mommy wanted to run away by Friday!!!!
We have had some fun times this spring that are worth mentioning. We had two fun visits from friends that we seldom get to see.
First came the always hilarious Nelsons. There is never a visit with them that I don't come away with at least one quotable comment or story. The one this year, I hate to say, I'm sworn to secrecy about, but girl...you know what I'm talkin' about, and I still die laughing out loud when I think of it. Definitely one the "hall-of-famers" in my book!! Matt did get sick their last day here, but hopefully they were able to escape without infection!
Next came the Lorenzens. We have been waiting for a weekend for them to come for the longest time, and when they finally made it out, my whole family came down with the flu and micoplasma. Wilson even ended up at Children's after hours clinic on the last night they were here. By the time I got home with him, they were all asleep!! :( On a positive note...we were all well aware of all the ailings, but were so desperate to see each other, we felt it was worth the risk. I think it was totally worth it!! I did have a bit of guilt when Kristen called later to say they were coming down with what we had. It lifted slightly, however, when two of my boys got pink eye, which they brought all the way from TN. We were all a mess!! But good times were had by all, despite the circumstances.
In other Gore news, baseball is back "in full swing" this week with 3 to 4 evenings of hot sweaty nights at the ball field. Should be extra fun with this nagging nausea. I can't wait. It is fun watching the boys play. (The break was nice though!!!)
So...just thought I would check in to let you know I'm not dead. (I just wish I was.) Hopefully soon I'll be back to 100% and ready to fill your lives with all the wonderfully interesting posts that fill your very souls with abundant joy as you read my humble blog. Wow. I clearly need a compliment. I think I'll leave that in there to see if I get one.
Be well!!

Hmmm nagging nausea... that reminds me of the summer I got pregnant with Emerson... and the fall I got pregnant with Atticus. ;)
It reminds me of the time I treated my dear friend to lunch and gave her tape worm. Ahhh, the many joyful memories of friendship. Hope you feel better soon.
Ha!! to both of you...
Virginia, shame on you for even suggesting that!! ;) Our quiver is full thank you very much...
And Michelle...I feel MUCH better today now that I know I don't have tape worm!! Eeeeewwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!I really had myself convinced yesterday!!! Thank the Lord I'm just obsessive and delusional!
Good to see you back..found your myspace yesterday....
I'm in agreement with virginia! Hee hee...you poor thing.
Hey maybe you will have your GIRL!!! hee hee.
Sounds like you have what we all have. It is not fun at all especially for Naomi:( we have been coughing for weeks.
TAPE WORM that is really gross!!!
Sorry, my first thought was pregnancy, too. I think a tape worm would be easier to get rid of...
