"Her children rise up and call her blessed..." Prov. 31:28
Or, as it goes around here, they will more often rise up and say things like this:
Anderson...
- "What are those big veins for, that are popping up on your hands?"
- "Mommy, you look pretty. Where are we going?"
- "Can I move in with Will & Anthony? It's just next door, and I could come visit every day."
Elliot...
- "Mommy, your dinner food makes me throw up."
- "You should move your legs. They have scratchy stickers on them."
- "OK, you can kiss me. Just not with your stinky breath."
Wilson...
- "Get that corn out of my face!!" (quoting a line from Nacho Libre overheard from his older brother)
- "I no got poopie in my pants again." (which is always a total lie)
- "Mommy, you go upstairs."
Wow. I feel so uplifted and encouraged.
Maybe I should get more exercise in verses 1 thru 27 before I start wearin' out 28!!!
Sheeeesh!

Those are too fun.
Boys have the ability to melt your heart with words that would freeze your blood usually. As a mom of boys I see all those as them loving you alot!
I've been getting comments lately about my legs being "pwickwee."
that is awesome. .. i guess i should toughen up now for the future with my fellas. Those are some pretty comments. I really liked the one about the dinner food. thats awesome. Im a little sensitve about what comes out of the kitchen already.. i really should get ready.
Okay, so this one totally discouraged me. ;) Yowsers. I love truth and honesty but teaching even our wee ones to be gracious with their words is so hard. Maybe it's because of what we model to them. Having little ears and eyes around me constantly sure helps with my sanctification. ;)
Glad you can smile about it and one day (like in maybe 20 years) they really will call you "blessed" and other such niceties.
You're so funny. I love your sense of humor! I miss you....Mandy
Anna says "shut up mommy." In her sweetest, cutest voice! Gotta love her!
I've already decided I'm not going to teach my babies to talk, I mean who REALLY needs to talk anyway??
