What God is Showing Me Lately...

If Wilson were part of the ever obnoxious paparazzi, this picture would be plastered on the cover of every magazine in town. But come on people... is it just me, or do these PJs go together? Let's just say I like eclectic pajamas. If they're comfy and within arms' reach, they go on my body. And they are the best way to go, when looking to keep the bite of the cold from seeping in and chilling me all the way to my lazy bones. The scary part about this picture is, I didn't consider for one second what I actually looked like in this ensemble. I would have answered the door in this and thought nothing of it. Can you imagine being greeted by this lovely sight, complete with a smiling face with last night's makeup still hanging on for dear life while covering a normal expression as if nothing were out of the ordinary? So in light of this "self-discovery" so to speak, I think it's a good thing he took the picture after all. Why I'm posting it on the internet is still a mystery. It is not a pretty sight.

But speaking of sight, I saw the coolest thing when I was at the dentist the other day. I was sitting in my car killing a few early minutes, and the tree in front of me caught my attention because on the trunk was the shape of a perfect arrow. It wasn't carved into it, it was just the way the bark was. I stared at it for a few moments, before deciding to follow the direction of the arrow up, and sitting in the bare branches at the top of the tree were two bright red cardinals. It made me happy.
So, this is what I'm thinking. I'm thinking that God wanted me to see those cardinals. I wonder why? Maybe He just wanted me to feel that smile come across my face.
I am also firmly convinced that He wanted me to see what I looked like today in those jammies. I don't however, wonder why that is. I'm pretty sure He was just protecting me from going to carpool dressed like that. You would be surprised what I think I can get away with. Don't think I wouldn't have just stepped into my knock off Ugs, thrown on a fleece and gone with it. It happens.
Peace and Love and all that Jazz...

Does it even matter what you wear in the winter time to bed? I just try to stay warm. Even now, I'm sitting on my couch with a scarf wrapped around my neck securely; keeping me warm. Well, keeping my neck warm, my hands stay perpetually freezing. Quinn announced yesterday that I was not allowed to touch him with bare hands until April 1st. We'll see about that.

HA! I am dying laughing at Kim's comment. I remember those cold hands. Very unnatural feeling. Anyway, I agree, whatever is close by goes on the body. I have that theory for daytime wear too though. Those just look like jammies...plain and simple.

here's a funny-
J's riding in the back seat Sunday night, loud, as always, and I realize he's got a 'mike' up to his mouth, saying,"thank you! thank you! thank you very much!"...my first thought is.."oh yeah, he's been spending time with that cute Wilby kid."

I love your hodge podge Pjs!
And I love the arrow tree and cardinals waiting at the top.
It's nice to remember to stop and enjoy the sweet little blessings God puts in our lives everyday!
Stay Warm!!!

You are such a sex pot. I think Vogue magazine is looking for you.

I think your jammies are reflective of your artsie self. You are merely modeling your art work rather than decorating with it.
And the cardinals...do you know they keep the same partner for life and their little ones form a community around them? Just thought you'd like to know that little piece of trivia.

Dear Abbey,
You are my inspiration, girl!
During the snow day yesterday (Thursday) I stayed in my PJ's ALL DAY! It was so fun. I cooked 10 meals and froze them and I made a batch of oatmeal cookies and froze them in sandwich bags with 2 in each bag.
Thank you! You made me feel organized!
