Hello Summer! Bye-bye Bleacher Butt!

So summer's fast approaching, and I need to have a plan. So far it's to take the kids swimming almost every single day at my brother's pool. I did some laundry for him not too long ago, so that's a pretty even trade, don't you think?

Our house is on the market, so I need to keep my fellas out of it as much as possible, as they tend to leave a trail of "stuff" behind from room to room. It's pretty remarkable, actually. It's as if they have shoes, wrappers, food, toys, books, trinkets, baseballs, light sabers, dirty socks, papers, electronic devices, backpacks, video games, baseball cards, key chains and other random items that just follow them throughout the house. And it's always a blast blazin' that trail until I step in and make them back-track and clean it all up.

But... with my new summer plan in action, they can blaze a new trail on my brother's turf! Mwa ha ha!!

The beginning of summer is always preceeded by a much anticipated close of a long chapter of bleacher butt for the Gore family.

Tee ball and baseball season finally ended, but not before Ando's team made it to the championship game! So, congrats to all the hard working Volcanoes! (I wonder if that boy from another team who called my son a loser is still thinking that now?? "Who's the loser now, huh? Huh??") Wow. My maturity knows no bounds.

At any rate, the Volcanoes got second place and you would think this would be cause for much celebration and excitement, right? Well... not if you could have had first place.

This is the picture of Ando with his second place championship trophy.... cheese.

And Elliot? Well his league doesn't even keep score, much less compete for a championship, so you wouldn't think there would be cause for over-excitement for getting a general trophy just for participating, right? Well, not if you're Elliot.

This is the picture of him with his T-ball trophy that doesn't even have his name on it...
"Yeah, baby!"

Two very different leagues. Two very different kids.
I love those boys.

Peace, Love, and all that Summer Jazz...

sounds like great plans for the summer! And the boys - oh, they crack me up. I still got a few weeks to sit on bleachers.

Why are you selling? Are you leaving the area? Panic, Panic...

We would love to get together this summer.

That cracks me up about Anderson and Elliott! Sounds VERY much like my first and middle children also! So, when/why/where are you moving?

He is excited about the trophy or the obvious blue slushy he's just had?
Another Summer plan...Sonic has Happy Hour from 2-4 everyday. Half price drinks including slushies! Woohoo...there you go Elliot, more blue mouth happy pictures. :)
Sorry for Anderson though, maybe if you got him a red one he would smile happily too!

R~ we are considering a move to TN with Regions. We're just waiting to see what the house does. (Market's a little slow!) We are just really praying about what to do. Seeking direction. It's a scary decision just cause it's so big, ya know? But if we sell, there's also a chance we'll stay too... just get into something less expensive and get debt eliminated. So... that's the nutshell. :)
And I would love to get together with you as well! You & the boys can come swimming with us?? Or anything actually. The boys' last day is today!! Woo Hoo! They would also love to see M & E. Let's do it!

Stephanie~ read the above "nutshell" version of our moving plans. That's all we really know so far. Also...we would love to see ya'll too! Saw on Michelle's post that ya'll are coming in June? Give us a call! Or if you need to bed down here, let us know! I sure could use a big dose of that "stuff" you made for dinner that night. (Sorry~can't remember the name... just that we had to go everywhere to find ingredients!! ;) But now we know where to shop!!)

Love the blue mouth...it matches his shirt so well. You're a good Mom.

Thank you Marsha! For some reason you saying that made me tear up. I've been missing my mom so badly yesterday and today so thanks for saying that!

Hey Abbey, we are looking more and more like we want to come and stay with you guys. We had such a blast last time, and the girls have talked about "the Gores" for 2 years now. So, we'll give you a call! (I can bring the Sinigang mix so we don't have to drive all over creation to find it! I would love to make it for you again!) And if you move to TN you'll be closer to us and that's awesome.

Oh bring it on! That will fun! We'll be at the beach at some point in June, but hopefully it's not when ya'll are here!! But you guys are more than welcome to stay here even if we're gone even part of the time! Call us and let us know when you know the plan!
