- This month I'm turning 32, and it dawned on me this morning that possibly 1/3 of my life has just passed me by. That is, if the Lord leaves me here that long. Maybe it's only 1/2 my life? My Grandfather died at 66. Maybe that will be my year. Anyway, my point is not to be morbid, but to remind myself that my days are numbered, and life flies by! I too often live like I have an automatic long lifetime ahead of me. That's a pretty stout assumption, I guess. However, instead of going all sentimental upon this realization, and solely out my own guilt, talking about all the things I should be doing each day to love the Lord and others better, I think I'll talk about all the things I would love for my birthday, instead. Who, knows? It could be my last, so this could be important information a year from now! Anyway, here they are. And not in any particular order of priority
- Lots of chocolate.
- A visit from the Lorenzens.
- Some new jeans. I love jeans.
- A tiny puppy that I wouldn't get very attached to, so I could give it away when it's not a tiny puppy anymore.
- A vacation to the beach by myself...oh, I'm getting that one this weekend..yay!
- Good counseling for my twisted thoughts and my wounded heart.
- Money...to help pay for the jeans, the chocolate, the new puppy, and the counseling.
- New boots. Really cool ones like the ones you see in Lucky magazine.
- A fun celebration with lots of dancing, like the one I dreamed of at my wedding reception, but since I got married at Southeastern Stuffy College, it didn't happen. :(
- A fun girls' night out.
- My own bottle of fizzie lifting drink. That would be fun for girls' night!
- Someone that's really good at scrapbooking, and loves to do it for others as a ministry, of course, to do all my pictures for me...anyone??? Any takers?
- Good hard laughter like the one with Michelle in the picture.
- A good hard cry, like the one of me on my counseling couch.(at Michelle's house)
- A yummy smelling candle.
- A big chunk of silence.

O.K. I think I've got it all figured out...I'll bring some brownies, as soon as the Lorenzens get to your house me you and Kristen will go to the thrift store for some "lucky" finds of jeans and boots, we will barrow a puppy from someone else for the day, then we will counsel you with the song "i hope you dance" and we WILL dance and drink champagne while we hold Virginia hostage working on your scrapbook... that will be a fun girls night out. Then I will moon you which will make you laugh and cry.I'll then light a candle and we will all leave(taking the puppy with us) so you can have some silence. So what night should we do all this?
Ahhh i just saw the picture I love it!!!!

maybe i'd better stop hitting the cold medicine.)
you crazy girls have fun but don't come to texas..stay in alabama...i don't want to get a call on 911 of 4 women running through thrift stores singing, spilling champagne, and asking the store clerks for jeans and scrapbooking supplies. ha!
